VISIT THE LABORATORY
If you have an appointment to visit the laboratory, directions are provided below.
Here is a map showing local directions to Addenbrooke's Hospital.
On arrival at Addenbrooke's Hospital go to the main entrance and ask at the reception desk for the Department of Medicine, which is located in the main laboratory block on level 5. Once you reach the Department of Medicine reception, they will call us and we will meet you there.
PLEASE NOTE The Department of Medicine is protected by a security system, and it will not be possible to enter the Department before 8am or after 6pm on weekdays, or all day at weekends, except by special arrangement in advance.
There is very little car parking space available at the Addenbrooke's site and it will NOT be possible to arrange for a parking space for visitors under any circumstances. Although it may be possible to find a space in the hospital visitor car parks, a pay and display system operates and stays beyond two hours are very expensive. We recommend that where possible, you utilise public transport. A regular bus service links central Cambridge, Cambridge coach station, Cambridge railway station and Addenbrooke's Hospital. You should allow half an hour for the transfer from the coach/rail station to the hospital.
